Find Logan County Release Dates

A Logan County inmate release date depends on the custody path. A pretrial detainee often has no fixed release date because bond, court orders, warrants, and other holds control the outcome. A sentenced state prisoner has a calculated estimate, but earned credits, misconduct, sentence rules, and parole steps can change it. To learn when someone will be released, first identify whether Logan County, Oklahoma corrections, or a federal agency holds the person. Then use that custodian's record. A projected date forecasts an event. It does not prove that release occurred.

Logan County Projected vs Actual Release

Oklahoma's official term for a state prison estimate is Projected Release Date, often shortened to PRD. The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board glossary defines PRD as ODOC's estimate for release from prison. It can move earlier or later. The Board does not calculate it. A parole docket date, parole eligibility date, PRD, physical release date, and final discharge date are separate events.

Actual release requires a later event record. For the Logan County Detention Center, that is the sheriff's booking-and-release or jail-register entry. For state prison, it may be an ODOC status change, Certificate of Release, or other agency record. A VINE custody event can corroborate the change. A court order may explain why release should occur, but it may precede processing and does not show the moment the person left.

Scheduled versus actual: A projected date is tentative. Confirm the completed event through the releasing custodian before treating that date as final.

Pretrial custody works differently. Someone held on a pending Logan County case has no sentence-based PRD. Bond acceptance, dismissal, a new order, another warrant, or a detainer may determine the outcome. A detainer is a request or hold from another authority. It can prevent community release even after the local basis ends.

A sentenced person can also have more than one relevant date. Concurrent sentences run at the same time, while consecutive sentences run in sequence. Jail credit must be awarded and received through the official process before it affects ODOC administration. The date shown in an old letter or worksheet may therefore differ from a later agency calculation. Always identify the document date and the sentences it covers.

Find a Logan County Release Date

The first task is to identify the custodian. The sheriff's current inmate search reports present county custody, not a release archive. Its own guidance says a missing person may have been released or transferred. If a state sentence led to ODOC, use the state system. If Logan County still holds the person on a local sentence, ask the jail and court about the controlling calculation.

  1. Check the last known Logan County booking and note the person's full name, booking date, booking number, and case number when available.
  2. Determine whether the person is pretrial, serving a county sentence, transferred to ODOC, or held under federal authority.
  3. For state custody, search the ODOC Offender Lookup by DOC number or by name and date of birth. Read only the fields displayed.
  4. For county custody, contact the Logan County Sheriff's Records Division and request the booking-and-release entry or current calculation route.
  5. Use the OSCN District Court Search to read the Logan case chronology, including bond, judgment, sentence, modifications, warrants, and recalls.
  6. Confirm actual release with the custodian's later record. Do not rely on a date copied earlier.

The full Logan County release search helps trace a person across county, state, court, and federal systems when the last custodian is unclear. Note: Leaving the Logan roster can mean transfer to ODOC or a federal handoff rather than release to the community.

Logan County ODOC Release-Date Limits

ODOC's public offender search covers Oklahoma state prison and state-supervision records. It is not the ordinary historical source for a person whose only custody was a short Logan County jail stay. Verified search inputs are DOC number, first name, last name, and date of birth, with alias and similar-sounding-name options. The interface warns that web data are abbreviated and do not precisely explain the offense, sentence, or time to serve.

Future dates have an added limit. The ODOC Offender Information guidance says an inmate's release date is confidential unless the inquirer shows a legitimate need of the kind the agency recognizes. It also says the inmate receives days remaining each month and can consult a correctional records officer or case manager. Victims with release concerns are directed to ODOC Victim Services at 405-425-2607 or victim.services@doc.ok.gov.

The official ODOC guidance image documents why a public Logan County inmate release date search cannot promise an exact future day.

The ODOC page supports a careful answer: use a public status when shown, but follow the proper records or victim-services route for protected future-date information.

Oklahoma Credits for Logan Release Dates

State sentence calculations principally use 57 O.S. §§138 and 138.1. Under §138, one earned credit generally equals one day of sentence reduction. The reviewed compilation uses class levels. For people ever convicted or adjudicated for an offense in the statute's listed category, Classes 1 through 4 accrue 0, 22, 33, or 44 monthly credits. For people outside that category, the corresponding rates are 0, 22, 45, or 60.

Those numbers are not a stand-alone calculator. The controlling version depends on offense and sentence dates. Credits can be removed after discipline and may be restored. No earned credit applies to a life sentence. Section 138.1 separately allows up to 100 credits for an approved meritorious act and states that ODOC cannot revoke that award. Other posted achievement or program credits and classification changes may also affect the agency's calculation.

The offense-specific 85 percent rule appears in 21 O.S. §13.1. It is not universal. For listed offenses and applicable attempts, conspiracies, or solicitations, the statute requires the controlling minimum service before parole consideration and bars credits from reducing service below the floor. Current official text and the version tied to the offense date must be checked.

Good-time note: ODOC credit classes apply to state sentence administration. No Logan-specific public jail good-time policy was found, so do not apply state class rates to a county stay.

Why Logan County PRD Stays Tentative

Oklahoma formally calculates PRD, yet several systems place boundaries around it. The Pardon and Parole Board glossary says the estimate belongs to ODOC and can rise or fall with credits, programming, and misconduct. PPB does not calculate it. The ODOC PRD worksheet projects three-, six-, twelve-, eighteen-, and twenty-four-month horizons across class and custody settings, and warns that its projections do not apply to restricted-earned-credit sentences.

That combination is distinctive. There is an official term and an internal worksheet, but the public is not promised a fixed future date. A past calculation can move as ODOC posts credits, changes class or custody, records misconduct, or applies a sentence restriction. The worksheet is calculation support. It is not a release certificate.

County calculations are a separate local issue. No public Logan County policy was found for jail good time, daily release processing, or a weekend rule. Obtain the judgment, credited-time order, and sheriff release entry. Ask the jail which statute or policy governed the calculation instead of importing a rule from another Oklahoma county. Note: A bond release does not have an earned-time PRD because it is not the completion calculation for a prison sentence.

What Changes Logan Release Dates

A release estimate changes when an input changes or another authority prevents the planned release. Some factors alter the sentence calculation. Others do not change the PRD itself but change where the person goes or whether the expected community release occurs. The source record should identify which kind of change took place.

FactorPossible effectBest source
Earned-credit classA higher or lower posted class changes the rate used in ODOC calculations.ODOC record and applicable policy
MisconductCredits may be lost after disciplinary process and may later be restored.ODOC sentence and discipline records
Program or meritorious creditsCredits posted under the governing rule can move the estimate earlier.ODOC calculation
Restricted sentenceA statutory floor can prevent ordinary credits from reducing time below the required minimum.Judgment and controlling statute
Concurrent or consecutive termsThe order in which sentences run changes the controlling calculation.Judgments and ODOC sentence record
Detainer or federal handoffThe person may leave one custodian but remain confined under another authority.Release disposition and receiving agency
Parole actionEligibility, a vote, later approval, and completed processing affect the path but are not one date.PPB results and ODOC record

A court can also modify a sentence, recall a warrant, or issue another controlling order. Read the full case chronology. The Logan County Court Clerk records instructions explain the local OSCN search and document-request route when the judgment or credited-time order is needed. One favorable entry may not resolve other cases or holds.

Logan County Parole and PRD

Parole eligibility is governed by 57 O.S. §332.7 and is distinct from PRD. The Board's reader-level summary describes broad violent and nonviolent paths, but the statute contains offense-date rules, exclusions, repeat-felony provisions, and consecutive-sentence treatment. Eligibility permits review. It does not guarantee a favorable vote, required Governor action, completed conditions, or physical release.

If parole is granted and processed, the person serves the remaining sentence in the community under ODOC supervision. That is not final discharge. The Guthrie Probation and Parole office at 114 West Harrison, 405-282-3827, is the official Logan County supervision contact. Use Board dockets and results for the decision, then ODOC for release processing and supervision.

A favorable result may still be followed by conditions and administrative steps. Certain Board recommendations require Governor action. A pass sends the matter to a later docket, while a denial leaves no grant to process. Results are posted after validation rather than at the instant of a vote. These distinctions keep a hearing date from being mistaken for a release date.

Keep the sequence clear: sentence administration, eligibility, Board result, any further approval, release processing, community supervision, and discharge. Collapsing those steps into one predicted day creates false certainty.

Confirm a Logan County Release Date

A date that passed without a confirming event may have changed. For a county release, contact the Logan County Sheriff's Records Division at Records@logancountyso.org, 405-282-4100, or 405-260-3252. The office lists weekday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Ask for the jail-register or booking-and-release entry, including release date and time, disposition, and receiving agency if maintained.

For state custody, read the ODOC public status first. The official offender-search capture shows the source used for Logan County state-sentence checks.

The search is an initial match tool. Formal ODOC options include a Certificate of Release, Notice of Inmate Status Change, record review, and authorized incarceration or supervision records. Closed Records is listed at 405-425-2691.

Oklahoma VINE may send a pending custody-change alert. Registration details are available on the Logan County VINELink Release Check. After any alert, confirm the event with the reporting jail or ODOC. A transfer notice shows movement between custodians, not full discharge.
