Its population includes pretrial detainees and formally sentenced prisoners, so leaving this building can have several meanings. A person may return to the community after bond, dismissal, time served, sentence completion, or another lawful order. Someone sentenced to state custody may instead be delivered to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Another person can move to a local custodian.

Federal use adds a distinct route. The official detention-center page places the facility at 216 South Broad Street in Guthrie and reports 198 beds. The Logan County Sheriff's Office operates it. The page identifies jail administration and reports three administrative personnel, twenty detention staff, and one full-time maintenance employee. It also names separate vendors for medical service, meals and commissary, and visitation or mail.

Those facts establish the facility's identity and function. They do not establish release hours. No official Logan County source located in the research states a daily release time, weekend rule, public waiting point, release exit, property-return procedure, average stay, annual release count, or county good-time formula. Plans should not rely on a routine borrowed from another Oklahoma jail.

Logan County Detention Center State Transfers

A state-sentenced person may leave the county jail because ODOC accepts custody. That person has left Logan County detention but has not been released from confinement. Federal Logan County Detention Center Releases

U.S. Marshals Service Agreement 64-08-0062 controls federal contract use at this county jail. It authorizes detention of federal defendants awaiting trial, sentenced people awaiting designation or transport, and people awaiting immigration proceedings or deportation. The county may release a federal detainee only to the committing federal agency, a Deputy U.S. Marshal, or a USMS designee. In that context, “left Logan County” can mean a federal handoff rather than community release.
